New Chair Appointed of Regional Development Australia Logan and Redlands

RDA Logan and Redlands is pleased to announce the Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, The Hon Kristy McBain MP has appointed Mr Miguel Diaz as its new Chair.
In announcing new and returning Chairs across the national RDA network, Minister McBain said, “I congratulate new RDA chairs, who will work closely with their community, local businesses and all levels of government to drive growth and development in their regions.”
“With more than $117 million from the Australian Government set to flow across all of the RDA committees over the next five years, it is an exciting time for the new and returning chairs, as they’ll have the opportunity to work with their members to set the future agendas for their RDAs.”
“We recognise the importance of local leaders supporting our work to Build Australia’s Future, which is why I look forward to working with RDAs into the future.”
Miguel brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to regional development.

About Miguel Diaz
Miguel has returned to RDA Logan and Redlands, having previously served on the Committee between 2015 and 2017. He is an executive leader with a focus on impactful and sustainable community and business outcomes.
He has over 25 years of senior leadership experience across the corporate, not-for-profit and government sectors.
Miguel currently runs his own consultancy business, Strategic BD, assisting organisations with strategic and operational planning, as well as business development initiatives. Prior to this, Miguel held CEO roles with the Australian College of Audiology as well as Parkinson’s Queensland.
During his corporate career, Miguel held Director level roles with PwC, EY and TAFE Queensland.
He has also served on several boards including as Chair of Health Consumers Queensland, President of mental health not for profit, Stepping Stone Clubhouse, Chair of the Queensland Public Records Review Committee and Board Member of RSPCA Queensland.
With a unique perspective on business and community development, Miguel’s approach is outcomes focused.
