Bob Bishop

Bob has extensive NFP Board Governance experience relating to his Director positions at Sheldon College, RSL, Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce, Hexicor and the Gabba QLD Cricketers’ Club. Bob’s 10-year Army career saw him achieve the rank of Captain and OC of an Australian Army Amphibian Unit.

Bob has 37 Years local knowledge as a Birkdale Resident and President of the Aquatic Paradise Resident’s Association. As a Co-Founder of Sheldon College, with Bob’s wife Dr Lyn Bishop in 1997, he has a good working knowledge of Education in the region. Bob has numerous local contacts in Commerce, Government and Residents groups as well as being on 5 Body Corporate Committees.

Bob’s entrepreneurship started when he started his Ericsson BusinessPhone Centre Business in 1992, after a 10-year career as Ericsson Queensland State Manager. Since then, Bob’s Company Hexicor, has acquired 6 Companies and now operates in QLD, NT, and SA with 80 Staff.

As the Chair of the Qld Health Department’s Bayside District Health Council, Bob was responsible for the Redlands and Wynnum Hospitals as well as the Moreton Bay Islands. This 10-year tour of duty in Public Health provided a broad understand of HealthCare Services and needs in the region.

Bob has a QUT Marketing Degree and a strong 57-year background in Business Communications Technology for Government, Business & Carrier.
