In the past two years, Kim Kerwin has been an independent, reliable, intelligent and enthusiastic contributor to the RDA. She has had lengthy experience at the Deputy/Acting Chief Executive Officer level with organisational responsibility for wide ranging portfolios covering all corporate, community and strategic planning functions, including financial and business unit management, water supply operations and capital works augmentation, facilities maintenance, economic development, development assessment, disaster and pest management and community and customer services. In her current role, she has responsibility and accountability for economic development and major project coordination including the review of the Redlands Planning Scheme for the draft City Plan which was recently approved by the Planning Minister for Council adoption.
Ms Kerwin has a Master’s degree in Science (Environmental Management), an Honours degree in Regional and Town Planning and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management. She has been a Director on the Boards of two major Queensland planning and development firms and with the Planning Institute of Australia (Qld Division) and appointed to Bond University’s School of Sustainable Development Industry Advisory Group. Ms Kerwin was appointed to the RDA Logan & Redlands Committee in early 2017.
