Joseph Wallace is the Managing Director and Founder of one of Southeast Queensland’s largest Indigenous employment providers – Multhana Property Services.
An Aboriginal man from Jirrabal Rainforest in the Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland, and Juru in Bowen, North Queensland, Joseph’s experience in Indigenous affairs and governance is grounded in his extensive career in the public and private sectors, as well as his formal qualifications. Joseph holds a Master of Arts (Indigenous Social Policy) and Bachelor of Education (Aboriginal Studies & Community Management) from the University of Technology Sydney.
Joseph frequently speaks on panels about Indigenous business and procurement, the current state of Indigenous employment in Southeast Queensland, and his own experiences as an Indigenous businessperson. Joseph founded Multhana in 2017 to directly support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with sustainable employment, training, and career development opportunities.
Multhana Property Services is a Supply Nation Certified Indigenous cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance company based in Brisbane. Most recently, Multhana was shortlisted for Outstanding Social Enterprise in the 2021 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards.
